I'm a spiritual Colorado gal physically born in California. Fortunately, still an infant, I escaped the San Fernando Valley before anything serious effected me. The Colorado Rocky Mountains, where two generations of Walkers are from, gave me a strong love for nature. Despite being raised as a UU PK, the call to ministry came after three short careers in advertising, journalism and environmental social action. My call was strong and sent me back to California and to Starr King with its alternative approach to education. The First Universalist Church of Denver ordained me after my internship and a year of CPE in Denver, then off for ten years of settlement in Meadville, Pennsylvania. I'm now called to Mount Vernon Unitarian Church in Alexandria, Virginia and new adventures. I had the wonderful pleasure of serving on the UUMA Executive Commmittee, 1999-2001, and now love being on the CONVO '09 team.
I'm married to my beloved Mark, have three adult step-children, one adorable grandaughter, two dogs and three cats.
