| How do you plan a learning retreat when everything is uncertain, fascism is on the rise, and so many of us already feel exhausted? By co-creating a space of respite, of possibility, of collective strength.By staying flexible and knowing that we have the skills and the capacity to pivot and hold space together.By intentionally providing worshipful experiences that refill the well and reconnect you to your calling.By sharing innovative and fun new ways to manage old problems. By leaning into praxis and making room for failure and learning.Join us in Albuquerque and wherever you are for the Institute for the Learning Ministry 2026! We’ve designed a program that recognizes one size does not fit all. Maybe you will choose a more intensive 9-hr learning track; maybe you will choose to do your learning on hikes in the desert. Maybe you will spend time with your friends from seminary; maybe you will also take advantage of opportunities to make new friends or form communities of practice for after we depart. Maybe you will do just one thing each day, and spend the rest of the day sleeping.We can’t know exactly what we will need next January. But we do know that colleagues save each other, and that together we are stronger and more able to answer this sometimes mysterious, often taxing, never ending call to ministry. Please consider inviting your partners in ministry, if you have some, as this Institute will once again be open to shared ministry teams. So come register – because we need one another. |
