Membership Dues
The UUMA continues to review the dues structure, seeking to address the concerns and realities of a sliding dues scale while still presenting a balanced budget to ensure we have the resources to continue to live into our vision of a stronger, more effective association.
Dues are payable beginning July 1 and must be paid by October 15 to retain membership. The renewal process is dependent upon your profile containing correct information regarding your Salary & Housing and Ministry Setting. Please make sure your profile is up to date. You will be given an opportunity to update your profile at the start of the process. If you wish to prepay your dues, please contact our Membership Administrator. The online renewal system will be available beginning June 17.
While we acknowledge that there is no system that will be 100% equitable across all income levels, we hope that you will see that the spirit of this structure is intended to level the field as much as possible. Please remember that waivers are available for those unable to pay the minimum; we especially encourage those of you who are making less than $25,000 a year to consider asking for a waiver. Waivers must be requested by October 15.
A special note to members earning Canadian dollars: when going through the renewal process, please first convert your Salary & Housing into US dollars so that you will be paying on the same scale as others.

Additional Renewal Categories:
- Full and Partial Waivers: Apply Here
- Full Waivers are available to members earning less than $25,000, or who experience on-going financial hardship. You can apply for a full waiver for up to 3 years. If you have an ongoing disability which limits your income, please contact our Membership Administrator for more information on our Disability Waivers.
- Partial Waivers are available to members who find their financial situation may be a barrier to membership. Members can apply for either a 25%, 50%, or 75% waiver.
- Waivers are not automatically renewed, and need to be reapplied for each year. Disability waivers are automatically approved but manually renewed so may take a few days after renewal season begins to be reflected on your profile.
- Installments: We have a system through PayPal which allows folks to pay their dues in installments. Please fill out this form if you would like to use this feature.
Internal Membership Procedures:
- Grace Period: Memberships are payable beginning June 17th, (Prepay) and members will have online access until October 15th (106 days). Membership not renewed by Oct 15th will be in lapsed status and have until June 30th to renew and be re-instated. As of June 30th, any memberships that have been lapsed for a full year will be dropped from membership.
Discount Codes: If you belong to one of the following organization and it is necessary to your ministry, you may use a discount code to deduct a portion of your dues. Associations are assigned codes based on their dues amount. One code is allowed per membership. If applying this code to your membership brings your dues amount below the minimum you are requested to pay the minimum. If you are a member of an organization not listed please use the code Dues50 for $50 off your dues.

# When we last revised this scale (over 7 years ago), very few our members made over $100,000 annually. That has changed over the years but our scale has not. Rather than adjust dues for all our members, we have adjusted the top end of the scale to $150,000 in recognition that is now on the highest end of what our members generally make.
Associate Memberships: If you are a current Associate Member and you renew you are affirming that your position has not changed. If you have changed jobs or organizations but still wish to remain a member please reach out to our Membership Administrator.
