Continuing Education Standards
UUMA Standards
- All UUMA members are expected to complete at least 60 hours of continuing education (CE) over a three-year period through participation in a broad range of educational experiences that relate to their ministry.
- At least 6 hours per 3-year period should be in the area of anti-racism, anti-oppression, and multiculturalism and must include a component that puts you in conversation with others.
- At least 6 hours per 3-year period should be in the area of ministerial ethics and sexual misconduct prevention/professional boundaries and must include a component that puts you in conversation with others.
- Continuing education should be reported annually in the Event section of the Member Center on the UUMA website.
- A continuing education (CE) hour is equal to 60 minutes of educational time.
- A continuing education activity may be counted only once.
- CE hours are counted in the methodologies listed on the next page, and at least two methodologies
must be included in a three-year period. - Fulfilling the Call should be used as a guide for developing your Continuing Education plans.
