We want you to know we have been considering this landscape deeply, ethically, and conferring with colleagues who are most impacted. As we open registration we want you to know:
-
We are working hard to center our values and honor our commitment to anti-racist, anti-oppressive, multicultural ministry.
-
We have a wonderfully rich schedule of worship and learning planned with lots of time for collegial connection and care. Ministry Days is being designed to touch our hearts, lift our spirits and build our skills.
-
We hope to greet many of you in person in Baltimore AND we plan to make the offsite experience as robust and inclusive as possible for everyone who needs to or wants to attend virtually. While every year our offsite experience improves, we are redoubling our efforts to improve this year because of real safety concerns that we know will prevent some of us from choosing in person attendance.
-
Knowing that each person has their own risk calculus, and knowing that our calculus today may be different in June, we are waiving all fees for registration conversion. Please register for Ministry Days with confidence, knowing you can change your registration from virtual to on site or from on site to virtual without financial penalty up to the day of the event.
We know we can’t think of everything, so we are seeking your feedback about what else we can do to create a safer and meaningful Ministry Days experience that is as inclusive as possible. You will find some questions asking for your feedback on the registration form and we are always happy to hear from you directly.
Your Executive Leadership Team,
