Shared Ministry Grant
The UUMA believes in the power of shared ministry and wants to support vital shared ministry staff teams by making our 2026 UUMA Institute for the Learning Ministry available to other religious professionals. We recognize that many religious professionals do not have the same professional expense funds or income that ministers receive and are excited to once again offer full scholarships to religious professionals who wish to attend the Institute as part of a staff team.
The Institute for the Learning Ministry is a weeklong conference that promotes continuing education, spiritual nourishment, and collegial connections. Previously limited to UU ministers, we opened registration to other denominations in 2018 and to other UU religious professionals including Religious Educators, Musicians, and Administrators in 2022. To aid in increasing participation of religious professionals who aren’t fellowshipped ministers, we will support 15 shared ministry staff teams to attend by covering the housing and registration of the religious professional that accompanies the minister.
