UUMA Board of Trustees letter in support of Article II

At its meeting on June 14, 2024,  the Unitarian Universalist Ministers Association Board of Trustees voted to affirm the proposed bylaws changes made by the Article II Study Commission.

As religious professionals deeply steeped within the theological heritage of our faith, we took this action to affirm our belief that our non-creedal living tradition must continue to evolve to meet the needs of emerging generations by reinterpreting and preserving our time-honored shared values.

While the democratic process calls for more discussion and possible amendments, and while we respect the right of our members to vote their conscience in this matter, our vote signals our belief that the direction proposed by the Commission is an important step to ensure the thriving of our faith into the future.
