Congratulations on the
launch of the new UUMA website!

As the CEO of ArcStone, I’m thrilled that our team was selected to be UUMA’s Association Database & Website partner. As a long-time UU congregant (formerly Unity in St. Paul and then FirstU in Minneapolis), I’m especially happy to have a chance to serve our ministers for a change instead of the other way around.

So with that in mind, I wanted to pass on a few words of wisdom as we navigate the transition to a new member portal and website.

Please have patience while we continue to transition content and add functionality. UUMA staff, volunteers, and the ArcStone team are moving, editing, and curating thousands of pages and tens of thousands of pieces of data. We have taken all the plants from one garden and moved them to another. Though the new garden is in place now, it will take time for the plants to take root and for us to make certain that they’re in the right spot and thriving.

Please keep an open mind as you begin to navigate and use the new “web garden.” Some resources and features will be in new places and function a bit differently from what you’re used to. Please give the changes a chance. Hopefully, as you get used to the new site and system, you will see the vast majority of the updates as improvements.

Lastly, for us to skillfully nurture the garden, we’ll need your feedback. Send any feedback you have to UUMA staff by using the online feedback form or via email at staff@uuma.org. We will be collaborating on an ongoing basis to make certain that the site is meeting your needs.

What’s now and what’s next? 

February 1 we launched our new website! Emails were sent to all active members with login information. If you are having trouble logging in here are some hints:

• Remember your username is different from your email.  The username was in the email. If you did not receive, or have misplaced, the email, please email staff@uuma.org and someone will resend your username.
• The temp password is in all caps and ends with a “!” – don’t forget the punctuation! 
• If none of this works, you may need to clear the cache and/or saved password in your browser.

As we continue to live into our new space we will be working on cleaning up the messy corners and building new features.  Click here for a chart that outlines our implementation plan. If you are having issues with something that is on the “Completion” list, please complete this form and we will look into it.

What can you do next? Upload a picture and update your bio!  The new website has two buttons that help us know more about you.  My Account shows profile fields such as name, identity, and ministry information and My Biography asks you to upload a picture and provides an open space to share more about yourself with your colleagues. 

This system prefers that the format of your picture to be landscape (horizontal) with the dimension of 400 x 150 pixels.  If you would like help taking and uploading a picture, please consider stopping by our zoom photo shoot on Tuesday, February 21st from 4-5 ET / 3-4 CT / 2-3 MT /1-2 PT.  See a link below to register and receive a reminder.
