Members of the UUMA are invited to apply to be part of this ministry of restoration.  Our commitment is to create a dynamic, diverse team to help us develop this way of caring for one another.  We encourage applications from members who are committed to the values of justice, integrity and healing.  Team members will have skills and experience to bring to the work and will be prepared to go deeper in their learning as part of a community of practice in these areas: 

• Restorative practices
• Trauma informed care
• Power dynamics and power analysis
• Systems theory
• Conflict transformation skills

It is necessary for members of this team to be in Full Fellowship with the UUA. Appointments to the team will be for renewable two-year terms.  

Expectations for Good Offices Right Relationship Specialization

• Participate in ongoing training.
• Approach the work as praxis; team members will commit to meet monthly for reflection, consultation and continuous learning about the theory, art and practice of working toward right relationship.
• Function in a collaborative manner; in some instances more than one Good Offices person will be needed to work with members in crisis or conflict. 
• Respond to any inquiry requesting support in a timely manner and engage in discernment about their own capacity before accepting any referral.
• Submit required contact reports in a timely manner.

Selection

The Good Offices Right Relationship Guides will be selected by the UUMA’s Director of Ministries for Collegial Care, the Good Offices Coordinating Team member with the portfolio for supporting the Right Relationship specialization and the current and outgoing members of the Good Offices Right Relationship Advisory and Transition Team.  Please contact Rev.
