Institute for the Learning Ministry:
Proposal for Worship

We are looking for applications and nominations to help us deliver a powerful arc of worship over the week of Institute. Do you imagine yourself or a beloved colleague leading worship? Please apply/nominate using the form below! We enthusiastically invite your liturgical creativity. Please note we also welcome nominations from outside our UU tradition/collegial spaces.

We are requesting proposals for a total of four worship services that are multi-vocal, dynamic, embodied, and include pastoral and prophetic messages.

Application process: we look forward to accepting nominations and applications through May 9. The Institute Planning Team will then engage in discernment and select from what we know will be many excellent possibilities and finalize invitations and inform all applicants of their status by June 1. We look forward to sharing a transparent selection process with you upon request.

Payment: $1000 per service, assumes 2 leaders will receive $500 each, $500 travel/housing stipend per leader (registration for the Institute is not included in the compensation) 

Notes about honoraria and compensation:

• Please note all worship leaders must register and pay for the event.  Worship leaders will be given scholarship priority.
• These rates are informed by our Volunteer Honoraria and Compensation Scale, which has lower rates than our Scale of Fees for Professional Services. The Volunteer Honoraria and Compensation Scale assumes that members consider some of the time and energy they share as part of how they give back to their colleagues and their professional association.
