The MFN Retreat Program
Fall 2025
The UUMA MFN Virtual Mini Retreats are offered to Aspirant/Candidate Members of the UUMA at no-cost to participants. Each session offers time for collegiality, theological grounding and spiritual practice. Sessions are three hours long and take place on ZOOM. We ask you to commit to attend the full program and have scheduled breaks for meals and snacks as we gather across multiple time zones. Registrants will receive a retreat preparation packet with details on the agenda, supplies needed and opportunities for spiritual deepening in advance of our gathering. Space is limited to 25 – with a minimum of 6 needed to staff each retreat.
Articulating Your Faith

Sunday, March 15 (6:00pm East/5:00pm Central/4:00pm Mountain/3:00pm Pacific)
A great way to get connected to MFN colleagues and consider your the/a-ology and religious philosophy as a personal practice and leadership tool. Participants will have a chance to reflect on their personal values, beliefs and commitments. With a grounding in worship, and time to connect with peers, we seek to create a space for contemplation, creativity and community building.
Theology of Calling
Sunday, October 19, 2025 (6:00pm East/5:00pm Central/4:00pm Mountain/3:00pm Pacific)
Saturday, March 14, 2026 (12:00pm East/11:00am Central/10:00am Mountain/9:00am Pacific)
A continued exploration of personal the/a-ology and religious philosophy as activation for pastoral and prophetic ministry. This mini-retreat will offer participants a time and space to explore the personal, professional and spiritual aspects of being called into religious leadership. We will engage in dialogue, prayer, and contemplation within a collegial community of care.

About the Ministerial Formation Network
The MFN is funded by grants from the Panel on Theological Education, the St. Lawrence Foundation, the Stevens Fund and by a portion of the UUMA budget. We are very grateful to the generosity of our funders. Aspirant and Candidate members of the UUMA are automatically enrolled in the MFN and offered invitations to programs supporting collegiality, meaning making and ongoing education/praxis modules. Participants support the program by paying their dues to the UUMA.
