Life Members Invited to Join Retired Ministers Chapter

Many of us seek times and spaces to tell stories, share poems, and connect with other ministers in covenanted space. You may or may not realize that in addition to the wonderful resource of the UU Retired Ministers and Partners Association (UURMaPA), a couple of years ago a few retired colleagues thought it would also be a good idea to have a UUMA Retired Ministers Chapter – and so started one! The main group meets monthly for about an hour and a quarter, with time in breakout groups to check in and usually with an additional program on one or another theme. Like all UUMA Chapters, it follows our ethical and accountability guidelines we are all held to as Fellowshipped Ministers.

Additionally, several subgroups of the chapter have also been founded to meet particular needs and interests:

  • “Justice/Equity/Diversity/Inclusion group (JEDI),
  • “Spiritual Deepening” group – often lifting up poetry
  • “Collegial Relations” group
  • “Recently Retired” group
  • “Ministers in Congregations” (not serving but being a congregant)

Join our chapter, get more information, including dates and times by joining the Retired Ministers Chapter. To do that and visit our page navigate to “Groups” in the UUMA Member Center. Slide. If you are not a member of our Chapter you can either add it to your UUMA Membership under “groups” in the Member Center or email Denise Cawley at the UUMA and she will add you. We’d love to have additional folks joining in! Please add this chapter to your membership by going to “Groups” in the Member Center when you are logged into your membership portal.

If you have any questions, please be in touch with one of us, current facilitators of the chapter.

With hopes that all is well with you.

With kind regards,
