Something For the Moment

Post Institute Comp Time: After working incredibly demanding schedules for weeks to prepare for the 2026 Institute, the UUMA staff will be taking some well earned time off.  Each staff member will have a different schedule of how they take time to recover and we appreciate your generosity of spirit as we continue to move important UUMA programs forward during a time of lower capacity.

In this reduced version of our weekly update we are holding up some programs that are starting soon.  Thank you for helping spread the word:

AI and the Interdependent Web: AI is part of our changing world and part of the daily lives of our people. We need to talk about it. This six-session series invites Unitarian Universalist ministers into a shared, values-centered exploration of artificial intelligence and its implications for ministry, ethics, justice, and pastoral care. There is a $100 cost for this class with a limit of 12 participants per section. Scholarships are available. Dr. Emma K. Farrell, Ph.D., Facilitator. Click on the session below to register.

Meet the Moment: Strategic Risk Assessment and Engagement for Ministers: Ministers are serving in a time when threats to our people, our communities, and our values are constant and evolving. This spring cohort will offer a supportive and grounded space for religious leaders to better understand the risks present in their specific contexts and to develop thoughtful, values-aligned strategies for responding. Something for Support

Support Opportunities: As our world becomes more complicated by the day it is ever more clear that we need one another.  To that end we want to remind you all of the UUMA’s Sustainability Fund. Established during the Covid-19 pandemic with the intent to provide small grants intended specifically for self-care and spirit tending – in whatever way is needed, UUMA Sustainability funds have been extended to support care for members of the UUMA who are most personally impacted by broader geo political events. If you are in need of support please ask, if you have extra resources please consider a gift. Request Support or Give to the Fund
