Director of Ministries & Programs:
Search Committee Application

Seeking Applications for two member representatives to the UUMA Director of Ministries & Programs Search Committee.

Charge: The UUMA Executive Search Committee for the Director of Ministries and Programs is charged with:

  • Creating a covenant that includes and expands our UUMA covenant to especially include the confidentiality of a search process.
  • Creating an application that cultivates qualified candidates for the UUMA at this time, with a clear and accessible process and deadline.
  • Publicizing the Executive Search in all appropriate channels.
  • Reviewing all applicants with open minds and hearts for what’s possible.
  • Conducting interviews grounded in anti-racism, anti-oppression, and multiculturalism.
  • Considering not just the depth and breadth of skills of an applicant but also their enthusiasm for collaborative leadership, the profession of ministry, and for our Unitarian Universalist faith.

Process & Timeline: The UUMA Board of Trustees will approve Executive Search policies at their November Board meeting. Given that this search is expected to follow, whenever possible, the settlement search cycle of the UUA to allow for the widest possible pool of applicants, the bulk of the committee’s work will take place December 2025 to April 2026. The first meeting of this team is currently scheduled for December 5, 2025 4pm ET, 3pm CT, 2pm MT, 1pm PT.
