Regarding our Thematic Discussions
Hello Colleagues! I am so happy to be back at the UUMA and I am looking forward to many conversations and programs to advance your continuing education needs.
But first, Ministry Days! Wheee! I have been tasked with organizing our Thematic Group discussions. I so wish I could bi-locate, because there are so many of these topics that I want to discuss, and I’m sure I’m not the only one. And yet, we are going to ask you to pick one topic and stay with it across both days, in the hopes that we can go deeper, be more generative, and advance the conversation. I will have more details about how it will work soon.
One question: if you are attending a watch party, would you rather have in-person conversations with the folks around you, or stay online because you’re interested in a particular topic? There is no right/wrong answer, but I’m curious and grateful for some feedback if you have a minute to reply to this email.
And by the way thank you to those who have raised your hands to facilitate. I am still looking for facilitators who want to discuss “Opportunities and challenges in spiritual direction” and “Transitions.” If this is you, please reply to this email and let me know.
