Thank you to everyone who has registered and paid for the Institute! Early registration helps the UUMA not only know who is planning to attend, but also have funds for deposits. All who registered and forgot to pay, please do so before rates go up on October 16 for savings! We make invoice adjustments to reflect the late registration rate on October 16th.
All who are applying for scholarships for the next December scholarship deadline, keep in mind scholarship funds are in very high demand and we are not able to offer any more full scholarships. There are partial scholarships available to those in need. If applying for scholarships, please wait to register until your scholarship is determined mid-December.
If you are earning in Canadian dollars you can enter the code CAD when you register to receive an adjustment to help with the exchange rate.
System and Culture Change Focus
Your Institute Planning Team has been doing some good and hard work to discuss how we can use the Institute to shape and shift our collegial culture(s). One important way we do that is by offering learning opportunities that focus on systems change, and we are so proud to offer a variety of options both online and in person:
From Me to We: The Art of Shared Ministry (9hrs, onsite) – come explore how shared ministry can decolonize leadership and transform our congregations and faith.
When Misconduct Happens: A Systemic Exploration (9hrs, onsite) – a holistic approach to understanding how misconduct occurs, how to respond to it, and how to help congregations and communities recover.
Ministry to Meet the Moment (9hrs, onsite) – explore what nimble, skilled, grounded ministry looks like within the current global, religious, and political landscape.
Trauma Informed Ministry in Troubled Times (6hrs, onsite) – Understanding the impact of trauma on our body, mind, and spirit can help us stay sane and continue to serve with compassion and grace. This interactive program will offer better understanding and a bigger tool kit for religious professionals.
Lightening the Lift: Reducing Friction in Team Dynamics (3hrs, virtual) – This introductory workshop will give you a model for recognizing and addressing strengths and needs in your human systems. We can do a better job of caring for each other, creating supportive environments and processes that make our work easier and more joyful.
Feedback Beyond Blame and Shame (6hrs, virtual)– a step-by-step process that removes blame and shame and instead prioritizes connection and learning. Bring more specificity, compassion, and creativity to feedback conversations, thereby supporting the growth and other needs of those involved.
There is still space available in all of the learning tracks at this time. Choose your track here.
If you are looking for 3 or 6 hour learning tracks, you need to select the “No 9 Hour Track – Show Me 6 and 3 Hour Tracks” option at the bottom of the list of 9 hour tracks. Then the 6 and 3 hour tracks will appear.
