Announcing New UUMA Membership Administrator
The UUMA is excited to announce we have hired the Rev. Denise Cawley to fill the role of Membership Administrator! Denise brings incredible experience and skill with large membership associations, a passion for supporting her colleagues, and a contagious joy that we feel will be a great addition to our already fabulous UUMA Staff Team. Read on for a little more about Denise:
Reverend Denise is a chaplain and has pastored congregations in Oregon, Illinois and Wisconsin. She has also provided chaplaincy at Planned Parenthood and speaks nationally on the intersections of trauma informed healing, reproductive justice and spiritual practice. Presently, in addition to this position as Membership Administrator, she is advancing her trauma expertise as she studies for the Kintsugi Resilience Associate (KRA) Certification with Community Care Chaplains. She has worked in non-profit and membership management for more than 25 years and has been a pivotal player in LGBTQ rights, health equity, marriage equality, and voting access.
She brings visual arts, interactive rituals, and dramatic storytelling to all she does. Artmaking is a vivid part of her spiritual practice and that of healing journeys she offers. She lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is a graduate of Meadville Lombard Theological School, Alverno College, and studied at Parsons School of Design.
